  1. Personally, I love seeing how much you are able to buy and for what price– it’s amazing!! I also like to know of the deals going on at varous stores, but I think that we have different grocery stores since I am in California and you are in Kansas.. but I do have a Walgreens. It is just inspiring to me to see how much money you can save since I am just a poor college student!

  2. Also, could you explain how you can save money by using a coupon and by using a sale? I don’t really get this I guess because most coupons I see are for an actual price- like get this for x amount of dollars, which seems that if the same product was also on sale, you wouldn’t really be saving any money.

  3. I’d like to know where to get free stuff :)

  4. Lora, I figured out how you save money with coupons and by the sale… I found the coupons for Safeway and it makes a lot more sense to me now!

  5. Courtney – I’m glad you figured it out. Basically, matching a sale with a coupon saves you even more money. For instance, I had a coupon for $1 off Garnier Fructis shampoo or conditioner. Well, this week, Walgreens is running a sale on Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner for only $0.99! Obviously, I bought it now during the sale, used my $1 coupon and got it completely free! Hope that makes sense!

  6. Yes, but I am going to have to find a source for more coupons. Are there generally a lot of coupons in newspapers nowadays or not? I get a lot of free newspapers, but I really wouldn’t know where else to look. Besides looking online which is slightly problematic because most coupon places want to install their downloader and since I do not have a printer and have to use the school printer, I can’t download programs like that.

  7. I went back and looked through your archives and I found the post on where to find coupons. I’m just sad that I thought of getting a newspaper yesterday and not the day before– since it would have been Sunday.
